Description
Although not all American Robins migrate, the ones where I grew up did, and how it warmed my heart when I would spot one pecking at the ground in my yard in late winter/early spring. I was skinny, anemic and always so cold in our Pennsylvania home. My mother insisted that we walk to school and girls were not allowed to wear pants to school. How I hated the winter!
Robins have always been my favorite bird because I saw them as a sure sign of spring and warmer weather just around the corner.
I hope you like my interpretation of the American Robin.
